Poor Signage
We're staying at the YHA St Paul's Hostel, easily located due to its proximity to St Paul's Cathedral. While following a path along the Thames, we were happy to spot this street sign:

hi,I think that the sign problem is very simple. The time warp caused by living on GMT, combined with travelling on the wrong side of the road changes distances.A further correction may be needed by refering to Monty Python's Walking Silly.
Anyway, it couldn't possibly be wrong because we've been doing is that way for hundreds of years!!
